We'll start with the procedural modelling and shading of the rock platform and environment. Then we'll move on to the modelling and RBD simulation for the Core and texture it in Substance Painter. Then we'll create a plexus effect and the entire particle setup for the shot; lastly, we'll cover some basic lighting and shading and render everything with Redshift using different AOVs, and a final touch of compositing in Nuke.

I specialize in Houdini-based workflows — from particle systems and simulations to creative coding and generative visuals — and I enjoy breaking things apart to understand how they work (and then sharing that process with others). Alongside my own projects, I create tutorials and workflow content focused on practical, real-world Houdini techniques. Whether it's a deep-dive into a specific node setup or experimenting with unconventional approaches, I'm always looking for new ways to push what's possible procedurally. I'm currently available for freelance and contract work — feel free to reach out if you're looking for a Houdini artist or technical instructor for your next project.

Would be an awesome tutorial if you used Karma XPU vs Redshift. Not everyone has Redshift...
