1: Mathematics and Placement

In this first part of our Playing with Arches series, we will go over some cool mathematics and magic in VOP-networks to generate our procedural arches and placing them along a curve. This will be the base of our HDA (Houdini Digital Asset)!



Feike is the problem solving brain behind Dokai. Always eager to help, but getting a good idea of the different solutions first. As a senior student at IGAD (International Games Architecture & Design) in Breda with over 2 years experience with Houdini his main goal has been to get a better understanding of proceduralism. Growing up in Amersfoort, The Netherlands, he moved to Breda and is currently a 4th-year-student. Here he is helping out 1st to 4th year students to understand Houdini and Unreal and gives lectures on a regular basis.
