Currently an FX intern at SideFX, Emily Fung has been using some of the new FEM features since the development of H18 to create demo material (most notably the gummybears). She will be sharing some of her soft-bodies workflow tips using FEM.

The presentation will consist of two examples, which showcase how to prepare clean simulation-ready geometry, common FEM constraints workflows and a few interesting tips + tricks that could enhance your future FEM simulations.

Thanks for this, looks great but couldn't get your 'fat lady' fem skeleton setup to work :(
I tried first with my geometry and animation but the fem dop simulation takes ages and then the sim looks broken. I also tried downloading the skeleton.blend file from that link you sent but it seems to be corrupted, - Mixamo cant convert it to its auto rigging system, even when I cleaned up and reposed the arms in Houdini.

    Can you help???

    Cheers

I am wondering why there's only one video tutorial about fem in sidefx tutorial page(not a masterclass) , what you were doing all of these years :)
