This project explores creative workflows with Houdini’s Flow Solver, focusing on its interaction with Reaction–Diffusion systems. The setup demonstrates how to generate interesting reaction diffusion patterns to add layered detail and variation in your final shader.

A key part of the project is exporting COPs data to drive dynamics in DOPs, such as transferring velocity fields into Vellum to create organic, surface-driven motion. In addition, the project includes a demonstration of building custom procedural area light textures directly inside Copernicus, making it possible to generate lighting setups that evolve with the simulation data itself.

The package includes a Solaris and Karma setup for rendering, so you can explore the look-development process directly, with everything from lighting to shading prebuilt. This example highlight how context in Houdini can overlap and interact, giving designers flexible tools for both motion and texture work.

Diving into the new reaction diffusion solver and this is a perfect resource!

Good stuff, worth looking into. Project hip is well organized too.
