I am using an mdd cached obj export from maya that needs ripples on a piece of geometry that is moving, but I can't get the ripple to solve as the geometry moves. The ripples propagate throughout the length of the animation but the geometry stays at that frame's animation instead of continuing . I have tried using deforming rest but it didn't help at all.

Here is my file, I forgot to include it earlier. Hopefully it clarifies what I was trying to say.

Sorry, here's one of the obj files, I had to change the extension to .hip so I could upload it. I can't upload the mdd unfortunately, it's to large, but in essence in the scene he gets punched in the stomach and flies backwards.
I looked around some this weekend and if I use deforming rest with an RBD object works fine in my DOP, however, use deforming rest with a ripple object doesn't appear to have any effect, it stays at the frame that it was created.

iWave was used for a few effects on Surf's Up but I've found using the Ripple DOP and SOP Solvers together produce much better results.
