Hi,

A character with a bunch of parameters should be stored in a DA. By loading the otl in a new szene they should be listeted in the channel editor. Do I miss something, or is the auto scope function not the right way?

If a parameter has AutoScope enabled, then selecting the node will have its channels listed in the channel editor. Note though that if you have an HDA created from an object subnet, then when you pick an object in the viewport, it will be of the node inside your subnet, not the subnet itself.

Hi Edward,

Does that mean that I have to Autoscope the paramters inside the HDA?
Well I do that too, but I am still not able to make them appear permanently!(storing them in the HDA).

I also notice that I can't get ride of the standard scoped Transformation channels.
I need just the channels a have chosen.

Thanks for support!

Sorry, I was wrong. Please see the attached test file. The auto-scope on the top-level HDA is what determines the channel to be listed in the channel editor. Make sure you're testing with a locked OTL.

Sorry, by “locked”, I mean “non-editable” ie. after you do “Match Current Definition” if you had previously did “Allow Editing of Contents”.

that doesnt work or me…

Any idea what could cause the problem?…

I build a HDA… I Autoscope the toplevel parameter…it appers in the channel editor…I delet the HDA, and build a new one to test the Autoscoping. But the needed channel doesn't show up again.

maybe somthing in prefrences???

need help!

You need to set the autoscope in the Type Properties > Parameters > Channels pane of each channel because you want to have this be the default for all node instances.

Is is possible to turn off all the unneeded default transformation channels that are greyed out and not accessible?

Thanks Edward!

If you don't promote them, then they won't be scoped. If you had promoted them, then you need to manually turn off the autoscope in the Type Properties dialog.

I can unscope them by RMB “ unset auto scope” . and they disappeare.
But I can't turn them of in the Type Properties dialog. They are somehow frezzed!?
Means they are not gone premanently.
