Hi,
I´m evaluating Houdini and I was playing with smoke solvers, containers etc
I want to do an effect of some suction vortex cone. I´m emitting smoke from various sources and I want that smoke will be attracted like the attached image. I tried to play with the attract field but it´s not working the way I want.
In other softwares I could solve that using a drag field, for example, using a max distance or a bounding box area of influence, can I do that in Houdini fields?
Please if someone has some different idea please help me.
Thanks!

You can indeed create a field to drive / steer / attract the voxels. Often I take the geometry > and then add a custom vector attribute to the points of the geometry. In the example video below I used the same technique to deflect smoke

Thanks Rob!
I got it working using some geometries with Populate Containers > Pump from Object
In the 3th smoke video from Peter Quint on vimeo it has almost all that I used covered.
