i know sound stupid, but there is no way i can read that damn bgeo format!!

i have made a cache from my fliptank with a rop driver, then with a file node(allways inside the fliptank) i have reload the cache, results? the simulation still goes on and no cache its readed!!

can please someone point me to what to do in order to read that cache and not simulate?

thank you

Where you take cache file's ?
In the AutoDopNetwork or in the Geometry Network !?

If you just wanna save your simulation on the disk ,So you can use “ROP Output Driver” in the Geometry Network (Not in AutoDopNetwork) and you can read them simply with File SOP !

But if you wanna save all of the simulation data on the disk ,You should use “Explicit Caches Files” or “ROP Output Driver” in the AutoDopNetwork ,These two way save files with sim format , Not bgeo format !

Maybe you used second way ,But you wanna read files in the Geometry Network (Not AutoDopNetwork) !

Well, in this case bgeo file need to be a sequence, you need save using fileName.$F4.bgeo (sorry if you do this…) in your ROP ouput file.
After this, you can drop a free null node inside AutoDopNetwork, to Houdini not start simulation again. (you can disable simulations too…).
Read your sequence in a file node, and was done…
cheers
