If you're plugins built with the HDK (houdini dev kit), then you need to make sure that the version of Houdini you're using matches what the plugin was compiled with.

If you aren't using any plugins, then use the VC11 version. As far as I know, VC11 generates faster code than VC9. There are also plans to drop VC9 for the next major release.

Will there be 32-bit VC11 version for use with HEngine and Unity? Or maybe you managed to solve the problem of 64-bit stability?

Yes, we have 32-bit VC11 builds in the development trunk. If the 64-bit Unity game editor ever gets released, then we will gladly drop 32-bit VC11 as well.
I'm not sure what you mean by “problem of 64-bit stability” since the Unity plugin is only available as 32-bit, because the Unity game editor is only 32-bit.

Ups, TWOD was saing this about Unity. I thought that you made some magical bridge that allows you to use 64-bit extension in 32-bit program

I jope that it will be released soon because I'm left with 2012 now and can't use any of my HDK tools with Unity because I can't compile for 32-bit. And I'm too lazy to install Windows SDK

I think he was referring to the 64-bit Unity game editor work-in-progress.
