Hello!
I was wondering if there was a way to export the combing attribute of fur as a texture map so that it could be re-imported in a new build of Houdini.
Is this something that is possible?
I appreciate any help! Thank you!

If your models are in the same position, perhaps an AttribTransfer from a saved-out bgeo from the older version might work? Or AttribCopy if the point counts are identical.

What I mean to ask is where does the data for the actual combing attribute live? I essentially want to be able to take that data and use it for the same exact model in a new build of a Houdini. When I attempt to open the old Houdini build file of the fur with the new build, there are many opening errors. So to bypass those, I reconnected all the texture maps in the new build, and the only thing I am missing is the combing I did in the old build.
Is that data salvageable?
Thanks!
