a lot of the lessons I'm checking out have lots of saving files for “other departments . ” Thats not really my interest. Can Houdini be used for one person shops?
Yes it can. Just think of other departments as ways to organize information/data, just like you would separate textures, geometry, rendered images, etc… into different folders.
