Just installed Houdini Apprentice edition, I'm a very newbie hobby game maker and am also just learning the ropes in UE5 along with my son.

The installer asked if I wanted to install the Unity integration, which I checked.

I've just created my first Houdini asset, and saved it out.

When I open UE5, I can't see any menu for Houdini and the .hdanc file is not importable into UE5.

What am I missing?

Hi James. I'm afraid the Unity plugin is not available for the Apprentice version of Houdini and *nc assets won't work in general inside any Houdini Engine plugin. You will need at least Houdini Indie if you want to run Houdini Engine in Unity.

For future reference, though, you also have to actually import the Houdini Engine plugin into your Unity project. This is how all Unity plugins work. Please see our docs here for help on installing the plugin into your Unity project:
