Hi guys -

we rented a box with a K5200 Nividia quadro card - and I want to have its cuda magic applied to my grain sims and renders.

1- Is this enabled by default?
2 - if not, how do I do it - there is so little documentation online.

Thanks people

look for a OpenCL Toggel in the Solver. activate it and it should speed up…. :-)

if there is no Toggel then there is no GPU acceleration :-/

Thank you - yes I did that earlier. But now I've cached out the sim, and i“m using point duplicate on the file node.. I was wondering if OpenCL would apply to that as well.. (since the solver is not being used presumably?)

Also is the rendering ”accelerated?" I just don't understand this GPU stuff…

NOPE but at least it uses all cores from the cpu :-)

Thanks - guess it's just slower than I thought!

Mostly of the regular forum user are on both Forums so post one place should be enough. Even some of the SESI Programmers are on Odforce too. :-)
