Houdini crashes when rotating camera

Hey,

I've been out of Houdini for a bit and wanted to get back into it. I download the latest production build and started to play around in it. But the first thing that I notices was that when I rotate the camera (alt+drag) it imminently crashes. I am able to do basic work in Houdini without it crashing. I am on windows 10 if that matters.

Has anyone seen this before/ know how to fix it?

it's not normal or it's a special effect that i haven't found :-)

test with a production build and check your drivers they must be up to date.
remove or rename the home folder of houdini15 if there is a config mismatch.

After doing a bit more research it seems to happen when I try to “Show Handles” on any object on the object level. The Scene level seems to be fine. As long as I don't manipulate an object through the view port. Its still a big hindrance. I would appreciate any advice on how to fix this if anyone has seen it.

make a bug report to with the SESI Form:
https://www.sidefx.com/index.php?option=com_forum&Itemid=172&page=viewtopic&t=25347 [sidefx.com]

you can check also the GPU driver maybe it's not the newest one or it's the newest and then use a older one :-)

it's hard to analyse…..

Ill try to get that bug report in. I've been doing some basic simulations and everything is working fine. I just have to make sure I turn off “Show Handles” before I rotate the camera. Its a pretty consistent crash when I don't.
