Houdini logo mesh instead of actual mesh

Hello everyone,

I'm pretty new to Houdini, in fact I just started to learn the basics. I followed the tutorial about the procedural building with the beams. Everything works fine in Houdini, I can save the digital asset but in Unreal it only shows the Houdini logo mesh, not the building mesh with the beams. I'm using unreal 4.12 (tried with version 4.11 and 4.10 too) and Houdini 15.5.523. I downloaded the stair example from Orbolt and that worked just fine.

Any idea what could be the problem?

Thanks in advance!

Are you using Houdini Apprentice to create your asset?

Then I'm afraid that's why your asset doesn't work. There should be a message pop-up about this when you try to put down the asset but either way, Houdini Engine does not support non-commercial assets - those created by Apprentice. You will need to purchase at least the Houdini Indie license in order to create assets that work with Houdini Engine.
