Note that if you want to be able to just tap the key to change the flag, you have to turn on the “Flag Hotkeys Work On Existing Node Selections” option on the Edit->Preferences->Network Editor dialog.

it works when I hold “r” and select node

How can I set up for myself like this:
select a node, and then press the 1 (on the keyboard) - Display, and 2 - Render

As mentioned in my first post, first turn on the “Flag Hotkeys Work On Existing Node Selections” option on the Edit->Preferences->Network Editor dialog. Then in the hotkey manager do some reassignment to get what you want. “1” and “2” are currently taken by the first two “quickmark” keys, so you'll have to live without those, or set them to something else.

is it possible that the Toggle Display Hotkey is not working under Linux ?
I have followed your advice but it simply does not work…

It's usually a good idea to test on the latest daily build, because a LOT of stuff gets fixed in the months after a release. But if that doesn't fix your issue, please be very specific about what you did and how Houdini's behavior differed from what you expected. Thanks!
