I have been learning Houdini for a couple of months now (from Cinema4D) and wonder if there is a command to inverting polygon selections? for instance I have a sphere (16x16) and have two polygons selected in each quadrant of sphere (8 total), now I want to invert selections so the 8 I have selected become nonselected and I can delete the rest. I know I can select all polygons (N command) cntrl click ones I want to keep and delete rest of them just curious if there is such command. I googled it but didn't come up with anything nor did help, umm help.

thanks,
bob

ctrl-I will invert the current selection. Also holding ctrl-shift while box selecting will ‘toggle’ the selection state of elements that are box picked, which if you box pick all elements will effectively invert the selection.

thank you jsmack. I looked on the shortcuts but didn't see it. after you told me I searched for it on shortcuts PDF and there it was under PARTICLES/CONTEX/SCENE VIEW header, I skipped this looking for modeling.

again, thank you.

The RMB menu isn't really promoted well but RMB->Invert selection.
