hello, so i have a smoke simulation in good quality so im expecting long hours of work. im trying to save the cache so i can render it more quickly and directly, the problem is that even if i have 95 frames in cache, only a small zone will be loaded, say frame 78 to 95. and if i start to render, houdini starts to cook everything again, maybe a little bit faster but man is exhausting to be taking 11 hours to save the cache when the actual render takes half that time. also i rendered 2 sequences in different days and for some reason they look like they are different simulations it jumps from one frame two another and i really don't know why like if i had different caches. basically im having all kinds of problems with savin cache… any ideas or tips on how to work with cache??

help me guys i've been fighting this render batch 3 days in a row!

Once you save out a cache file you have to manually click the check box that says “Load from Disk”, or the FileCache will continue to fetch data from upstream nodes and force cooking.

Maybe you forgot to check that box?
