I'm trying to get very simple dynamics working - just a cube dropping onto a plane.

In my viewport, at the top, there's a message that says “Dymanics Simulation Disabled”

If I add a cube, select it, and then click RBD Objects or RBD Hero, the cube vanishes (even though I'm clicking this on the first frame of animation) - and I don't see it anywhere in viewport.

Any idea why viewport would say ‘Dynamics Simulation Disabled’ - I'm using Houdini 17 Apprentice version right now but planning to upgrade to Indie once i get off the ground.

bottom right, is there a ‘no go’ icon ? it's a red circle with a line thru it.

click it, it should turn into a ‘brain’, meaning sim enabled, while the previous icon meant sim disabled.
