We are actually in pre-production for a film, and we'd like to estimate how Houdini is viable for massive cloths simulations for us.
The engine could be a real advantage, but at the moment the 3dsmax engine doesn't seems to be powerful.
We've made a really simple scene and this doesn't seems to be that powerful for the moment.
- Simulation seems to be slow for a simple plan of 100 polys.
- Animation is visible only when you play animation in the normal way, revert is not doing anything
- I don't know how the magic is operating but the resulting animation of the cloth is not bake-able with pointCache and this is a huge Stop for us.
Have we made basics mistake in the HDA construction or is there any way to optimise performances ?
