Street Smarts VR is a Virtual Reality Based Training Platform for Military and Law Enforcement Personnel. We strive to provide our first responders with realistic and cutting-edge training scenarios that help improve their job performance. We are looking for a talented Houdini Generalist to join our team and make this vision a reality by creating Digital Assets, Environments, and technical rigging.

Generalists will be expected to have a high familiarity with using HoudiniFX and Unity3D within a production environment. Understand Houdini production tools and have the ability to develop procedural assets as required by the production needs.

What your responsibilities will be:
- Responsible for creating low poly photo real environment props that can be used in Houdini and Houdini Engine for Unity.
- Ability to set up Biped character and facial rigs for the animation department.
- Work with Art Lead to establish the artistic and creative vision for the project.
- Collaborate with the Technical Lead and Animation Lead to understand technical and gameplay requirements.
- Setup and optimize scenes in Unity3D.

What makes you:
- Knowledge, understanding and experience of using Houdini within a production environment.
- Strong understanding of High poly to Low poly workflow.
- Strong understanding of technical considerations in creating environments for VR.
- Experience with Unity 3D in a production environment.
Strong management skills are critical and artists must be able to work within a fast-paced team environment.
- High Attention to detail.
- Programming or scripting skills such as HScript, VEX, Python or C# would be beneficial, but not essential.
- Significant experience using texturing skills in Substance Painter, Substance Designer and understand the PBR workflow.
- Understand form and silhouette
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Understand, consider, and give constructive feedback.

Can be Remote or in studio. Must be a US Citizen or US resident.
