Writing transform information to a text file (.xml ?)

Hi!

I've scattered a bunch of points with the Instances node to scatter a bunch of arnold proxies (.ass). My goal would be to recreate the same scatter in Maya so I was wondering if there's a way to create a .xml of all the the transform of each of proxies so I could later use that .xml to re-create the same thing in maya.

I know absolutely nothing about python and I would like to know if it's relatively easy to do.
