Reference plane off center

Hi everybody,

I'm working with Houdini for a couple of months now, and everything has been working fine. For a couple of days now my reference plane seems to be "off center". The following shows a box that is located at 0,0,0 but as you can easily see, it is obviously not at the center of the reference plane. It's somewhere 5 units offsetted on the x plane and about 4 units offsetted on the y plane.

Is this a bug or a feature?
And how do I get the "normal" reference plane again?
I already tried to "revert to default" the reference plane but it didn't change anything.
I'm using 18.0.566 Indie.

Thanks in advance!

Günther

In this screenshot it is even more obvious:

This problem only occurs in a specific scene. In a new scene everythings seems to be OK.
So it looks as if something in this scene is causing the offset.
Any ideas? It's really difficult to work with this...

I don't believe you, surely the object has been moved. Check the transform and pretransform of the object containing the box. Are all new objects created at this offset?

Where's the scene then?

As you can see from the screenshot, the object has not been moved. It's still at 0,0,0.
Yes, all new objects are created at the same wrong position. I'm working on this scene quite a while and the problem appeared just a couple of days ago. And I'm importing the model into Unity and it is still at the same place that it was before, so the object obviously has not moved, otherwise the screenshots from Unity would be moved as well.

I'm not sure whether I can upload the scene because it's using a couple of libraries, that might be missing then.
Well, here it is:

And here's a screenshot of the current model:

None of the screenshots show the object's position.

Can you post a scene of just a box showing an offset?

I think this is the position:

There are no transforms after that. It's just the box, but of course inside the scene.

No, I cannot post a scene with just the box because - as I wrote - this only happens in this specific scene. With a new scene everything's OK.

I also posted the scene, so all you have to do, is create a box in the scene, and you will see, that it is not centered.

Just to make sure: I'm sure that it's my mistake, I just want to know what I did wrong.

I think this is the position:
That is the position the box sop creates geometry with respect to the local object space.

You haven't shown that in any screenshots. Your desktop doesn't even have a network editor. Add a network editor and select the object that contains the box. That will show that object's transform in the info window (middle mouse).

Can you try deleting the stuff in the scene other than the box, and then post that? If not I can open your other scene and take a look.

@jsmack: first of all: thanks for your effort!

When I started deleting all the objects to prepare the scene for upload, I found the cause for the offsets. The topmost geometry object had a transform on the x und y axis. This object is "so topmost" that I didn't even know anymore that it exists...
I have no idea where those weird transforms come from. I must obviously have changed them by accident...
I was sure that there must be some transform that causes the problem, but I couldn't find it...

Anyway, thanks for your help! And sorry for the confusion...
