no textures from opengl rop?

The opengl rop doesn't seem to render the textures, but the flipbook works fine. Any idea why this would happen?

Which version are you using? A bug that might have resulted in missing textures was fixed in 8.1.711.

I'm using 8.1.704, so maybe that's the issue

hmm, I tried 8.1.911, still no textures

It seems that when the object is set to “render polygons as subdivision surface” the textures dissapear, but when it's “geometry as is” they work

That's odd. That setting should have no effect on the OpenGL output driver. Still seems to work fine for me.

Fast forward 14 years,
I am experiencing the above issue.
No texture with openGL rop, works fine in flipbook.

Any setting I should check to debug it?
I am using a default OpenGL ROP (display texture is ON), I have a simple geo, the texture is applied with uvquickshade.

Found the culprit.

I deleted the home/houdini17.5 directory (restore factory default) and it works now.
I wasn't able to find which of the preferences files could have caused this.
