Hi, I've got about 6 months of Houdini under my belt and there's a very simple problem that's dogged me, probably because I don't know what terminology to use.
I use several 3D views at a time by default. I like to have one on the left that is always showing my camera's view and which I don't touch, and one to the right where I do all the work.
Whenever I want to perform an action from the shelf, select geometry from parameter pane, etc, Houdini wants me to do that in the leftmost view. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to switch the "active" (?) viewport to the one on the right. The only thing that works is to manually swap the panes and set-up everything like it was before. But even then, this doesn't hold over when I save the current desktop and re-start Houdini.
How can I permanently set a view to be the "main" one that Houdini defaults to. Or at least, how to I switch it over at any given time?
Hope this is a very simple thing I'm just overlooking, and thanks in advance.
Change main viewport (?)
