How could I bring in a pre-existing tiled heightmap as heightfield into Houdini?
The manual workflow is to create a heightfield-file node and transform node for each tile. That works for a handful of tiles but I need many more tiles.
The heightfield-output node has an option for tiled output. But I am looking for tiled input. How would you do that?
This is the naming convention: heightmap_x00_y00.r16
Side note:
I realized r16 files can not be loaded into Houdini although this page says otherwise: https://www.sidefx.com/docs/houdini/io/formats/image_formats.html [www.sidefx.com]
I attached an example file. For now, we converted everything to png.
