I've checked that my original alembic export from Maya is correct in that it exports starting from frame 0. If I had to guess, is there a pipeline error between the two programs, Maya and Houdini, since Maya's timeline defaults to frame 0, and Houdini at frame 1? Assuming I'm correct, does anyone have any workflow suggestions to accommodate this? Or is there possibly another error happening?
Alembic import is offset by one frame

Hello, I hope this isn't a terribly amateur question lol. I have a animation file exported as an alembic that I've brought into Houdini, but the alembic animation is offset by 1 frame (once I've brought it in, that is, using the Alembic node). You can see this below. The animation has only the arms moving; the bottom mesh is an fbx export of frame 0 of my original animation, and the other mesh is frame 1 within Houdini. So you can see that the alembic is offset since the arms are positioned at a different frame than the starting pose.
