Karma render is generally darker than Houdini GL

The same scene in viewport Houdini GL:




This is Karma render:




I know viewport GL is just for preview, but something seems off to me. The background HDRI looks the same in both, but the object looks much darker in Karma. And viewport GL's actually look more natural to me. Am I missing something? I feel Karma's render doesn't get enough "gain".

I would guess some bounce limit was reached on the render. When it hits the max bounce count, zero is returned (i.e. black).

Try increasing the limits on the render rop.
Using Houdini Indie 20.5
Windows 11 64GB Ryzen 16 core.
nVidia 3060RTX 12BG RAM.
