Hello,
I am having a lot of trouble getting stable agent ragdoll simulations. I watched all the sidefx videos and I can get ragdolls working with the mocap provided from sidefx that comes with houdini. When I try to use mocap from mixamo it doesn't work nearly as well and is mostly unstable. The issues arise from the twist cone constraints on the hips. If I go to the agent configure joints and remove the hip constraints, it actually runs pretty stable, as shown in the video that says "no hip constraints". As soon as I add the hip constraints the simulation becomes very unstable. It requires changing so many settings in the testsim ragdoll to keep it from jittering out of control like in my other video. As I stated earlier, with the mocap that comes with houdini, the ragdoll simulations are pretty robust and don't need much tuning. I also noticed that when you try to configure the hip joints it creates a very strange cone shape as shown in the photo. Even if I try to correct it, the hip constraints just seem to make it unstable. Seems strange that it is just the hip joints breaking the sim. I got everything else working. Any ideas?
