Hello. I've finally had some time to dig into TOPs and its great! However I've stumped myself quite quickly (as I often do.)

I have numerous alembics that need to be split into seperate .usd's. I have that part working great, the only snag I have now is updating the Alembic Archive through TOPs. Or any other option that seems viable really. Could I just use a simple python script to push the button on the SOP Alembic node or is that poor form?

My whole setup right now is:

- SOP alembic archive
- Scene importing the necessary alembics from that archive into LOPs
- saves out .Usd's
- TOP net reads the file path of the alembic archive in SOPs
- generates attributes to distribute new alembics
- writes out using the USD rop nodes
- profit?

So is it a smart move to have a python script in the TOPnet to update the alembic archive? I imagine there is a much smarter way to do this.

Thanks in advance!

LOPs can read .abc files directly using Sublayer LOP
which I think would be the easiest

then you can for example use Restructure Scene Graph LOP if you want to delete some parts of the hierarchy etc
