I have some fx that I prefix with an "/fx" primitive so that when they are referenced in with other fx in the future, they can be manipulated together under this prim. Apparently by default, this comes through as an Xform primitive:
When I save this to disk as a .usda, it changes to an "over" primitive:
When I reference this .usda into solaris, the "/fx" primitive seems to go away.
I've found that if I edit the "Primitive Path" parameter on the reference node to say "fx" instead, then it comes in as I'd expect. So, this question is more just kind of trying to understand why it doesn't come in by default and why the primitive type is changing between what I see in Solaris (the Xform) and what gets written out to disk (the over). Also, is there a way to see the "fx" primitive by default when I use a reference node?
Thanks!
Anson
