Camera Color in Viewport

Hello,

do you know how to set a fix color for the camera Icon in the viewport?

I find it quite hard to distinguish it from the background in orthographic views. Of course I can switch background color to light or dark, but for some weird reason the camera adapts that color as soon as I move the viewport. The camera behaves as it wants to become invisible.

Is there a way to change this behaviour?

The set wireframe color isn't working for cameras. and the feature seems to be broken for all objects. in H 20.0.546 (I´ll file an RFE)
edit: Ok its fixed in 20.0.547 (but not for cameras, atm.)
You could dive in the camera OBJ and add a color node after the file1 node and set it to your liking.

Cheers

Thanks, that is a nice way to colorize the wireframe.
Still it's not seen in orthographic views, I hope that will be fixed soon.

Then this might be an individual problem on my workstation.

I have just tested it on H 20.0.547.
The cursor was not recorded unfortunately, but I guess you can see what's going on.
Does anyone have the same problem?

EDIT: Don't know yet why it doesn't show up here, but this is the link: Vimeo [vimeo.com]

I tried the latest pro and consumer drivers, nothing helped here.

I have a Radeon RX 580.

Did the check the clipping planes? The automatic clipping plane setting is notoriously broken. Having to constantly set them manually is the only way to see anything sometimes.

yeah tell me about it

But the camera vanishing in orthographic views seems to be yet another bug.

The wireframe reappears instantly when I set another background color, and it vanishes step by step when I move the view (be it shift , zoom in or zoom out). When I zoom back and forth very little, it vanishes a bit more with every step.

Therefore I guess this is independent from clipping planes.
