Hi!

As you can see from the picture, I have some particles trails (which I transform in volumes to get some simple smoke trails) and I need to do some post-sim adjustments like bending them near the source to give them a small angle. How can I achive that?
I have an age ramp which can help me to select that specific area, but after that I'm not sure what to do. Please let me know if you have a better and faster approach(I'm using Houdini 19). The source is only visible for a couple of frames so even if it's a matter of keyframing manually it's fine.

p.s. I tried to fix it before the sim but it's a difficult one because they are moving forward (not on a straight path) and they are also rotating around the same axis.

Hey AlbusNolente,

you could transform the particles the way you want. Either with a transform sop or positional noise via a adjust vector node.
Then use a blendshapes node and use your age as a blend mask attribute. You could also use a wrangle and the lerp function https://www.sidefx.com/docs/houdini/vex/functions/lerp.html [www.sidefx.com]

Cheers
