Hello, I want to render a groom made in houdini inside of maya with renderman. I exported my groom with an alembic rop and made sure to keep the attributes. the issue once in maya is that i can't render my curves with renderman because renderman doesnt render curves by default in Maya. You need to enable render curve in each shape node but I don't have access to them since it's imported as a GPU cache. Since this is a cross software question I'm not sure this is the right place for the question but I'll ask it anyways. Thanks in advance!

I'd avoid loading .abc directly to Maya, not sure if anything changed but Maya has been terrible in loading curves or particles and preserving data and attributes for passing to renderers

I'm not sure about renderman but can you use their equivalent of proxy/standin to load .abc?
Therefore it will completely bypass Maya and .abc would get loaded at render time directly by renderman and can save you a lot of headaches
If they of course support such feature
