Hi

Ive just downloaded the apprentice edition and have been working through the tutorials. After using houdini for a while the GUI becomes realy slugish. After every command is completed all of the icons redraw one by one. The viewports still work realy quickly though.

I am using Win XP Home on an athlon 1000 with 128mb of ram and a geforce 3 ti 200. Does anybody have any idea what could be causing this? Do I need more memory?

Hi,

I am not certain what other people will say, but I'd say you probably need more RAM.
RAM are fairly cheap nowadays, so it shouldn't be that big of a problem.
