How to use SOP Guide in DOP network?

I assume the purpose of SOP Guide is to show some geometry in viewport within DOP network, without affecting the simulation.
But it just displays nothingness:
I tried everything I can think of, but nothing shows up.

This node will only work if you attach this data to an object. That is why it has a different colour for input and output.
