Hi,
I'm new to Houdini and right now I'm experimenting with VDB advect growth. I'm following this tutorial: https://www.sidefx.com/tutorials/vdb-advect-growth/ [www.sidefx.com]
When I replace the sphere with an object like the rubber toy, the material disappears. Is there a way to keep the material or reapply it using this method, or should I consider a different approach?
I have attached a screenshot of my node tree.

To use a proper shader, you’ll probably need a uv attribute. There are a bunch of ways to do so, like making a uv vector VDB and adverting that too, for instance, but it’ll be tricky. Check this out: https://forums.odforce.net/topic/52446-uvs-on-vdb-advection-using-dual-rest/ [forums.odforce.net]
And yeah, if you’re rendering in Mantra you’ll need to throw down a material node. If you’re rendering in Karma, you’ll likely want to apply the material in LOPs.
