Convert RBD sim to animated Null transforms

Hi,

Wondered if there's a way to take a RBD sim and convert it to nulls with animated transforms with the RBD objects parented to them?

e.g.
I have 20 RBD rocks that are simulated.

At the obj level, or more tidily in a Subnet, I would like the RBD sim converted into 20 animated nulls with the appropriate (unsimulated) rock parented each one of them.

Have been crawling around on Google but not managing to get the right keywords for an answer.

I assume it would need a script as it would need to create to create new nulls/parent items etc.

There were a couple of ways to do this in Softimage but I'm in Houdini-land now.

Any help gratefully received.
Hoping for a cheeky script tucked away somewhere.

Maybe constraint some Nulls to the rocks with point constraints, bake the constraints, and then parent the rocks without RBD sim to the Nulls ?

Hi,

Was hoping to make it a little manual as I'd like to iterate and also a bit of a quick turnaround.

Toadstorm seemed to have made a nice script for the first step.. i.e. making the nulls.

Just need them animated and the chunks parenting now!
