I was thinking on subscribing and trying Redshift. However, I feel very comfortable working with Karma lately.
So, a question for those of you with more hands on experience. If you could share your thoughts? Is RS that different/better gpu renderer?
My workflows... Characters and scenes. Animation and style frames with more sequence rendering in 2026.
So I value correct lights and materials in viewport/gpu rendering, fast iterations where I can art direct stuff.
Renderman is cool, v27 in particular ( old love
) but compared to Karma, introducing more hustle for features I don't really need. Dof, displacements, hair/fur, procedural workflows, all works with Karma.+ I appreciate having everything I need in default Houdini's setup.
Thanks in advance.
George
