Hi, does anyone have an idea how to create groups of “connected geometry” (press 0 when selecting a face)?
The aim here is to have bounding boxes fit around the different blobs of an isooffset.

Thanks!

Append a Connectivity SOP. Set its Connectivity Type parameter to Primitive. Append a Partition SOP to the Connectivity SOP. In the Partition SOP's Rule parameter use something with $CLASS, like chunk$CLASS.

This is a pretty common question that maybe it should be an HDA. I'm not sure what type of name would be good though. “GroupConnectedGeometry” might be too long.

awesome! thank you both!

to have 1 bound per group regardless of the number of groups:
- pull a foreach node, with group mask set on: * (takes all groups)
- then dive inside the foreach node and pull a bound node
