Hi,
Suppose I have a bunch of regular points that didn't come from POP, how do I display them in the viewlike I can with particles? i.e. Display the point colors in the viewport for preview, etc…
I can always feed those points through POPs, but I'm going to be dealing with millions of points and if possible I'd like to skip POPs altogether as I don't need to move those points. Attached is a example hip. Any ideas?
Thanks,
How to display points in the viewport like particles?

You can hack this by copying a single particle primitive to all your points. Yes you end up with a great many particle primitives but it doesn't seem to slow anything down and you get your particle display in the viewport.
Just use a location POP set to birth a single particle on frame 1.

There's at least one school like the old school!
