I am not sure what I did but now when I try to create a sphere a permissions error appears, is there a way to reset this?.

To enable us to help you, please post more information about the Houdini build you're using (10.0.249.5 or 10.0.xxx) and OS (WinXP, OS X, Linux).

Without more information, it's really hard to tell what's going on.

Okay, did you install as an Administrator or do you have administrator rights? Also, did Houdini ever work before on the laptop or this is the first time you've installed it?

If it's the first installation, please go to C:\Documents and Settings\your_username\My Documents and see if there is a houdini10.0 directory there. If yes, please rename or delete it & try again. If not, please create it and see if it works.

Lastly, can you post the permissions error message here please? Maybe other users might know why you're getting the error.

Deleting the houdini 10.0 directory did the trick. Thank you
