how can houdini judge the corner of the polyline

hi everyone
Here is a simple question.
can houdini judge the coner points and seperate the polyline into different lines,I just want it to be procedurly.

I don't suppose a 2nd carve sop is what you are looking for? Using first U to locate the corner and keeping both inside and outside. I would perhaps be nice if you could identify a specific point on the curve and turn on Breakpoints for that location.

hi probbins thanks a lot for your reply! I just think about the same thing. The problem is clear now. How can I find the corner point by houdini:it is really confusing me a lot.

Use the poly extrude SOP
Find the normal that is not pointed in the same direction as the primitive normal.
Should be good to go!

here is what I get now. The question is more and more approaching its goal. I can find the primtive normal and the point normal. But there is still some problems that I do not know how to put the point normal and the primtive normal together to compare. Hope some nice guy HELPS! :shock:

could you remove inline points using the facet sop and then the end points the one left is the corner…..

I take you method and work it out. It seems to be a good solution for the problem.
It is a part of a much bigger project, and there are still some problems.
