Does any pop offer divergence function such as 3dmax ?

I don't know what the divergence in 3dsmax does, but sounds like an interact pop with a negative scale?

Have a look at the example files that come with the “interact pop”. There is probably a simple flocking example in there. If not, then search the forums for interact pop, lot's of info on that one already out there.

Divergence in max is more of a variation in a velocity vector so that a stream of particles shoots out in a ‘cone’ instead of a straight line. Basically, each particle gets a random direction based on a % spinner which then offsets the vector around the original vector. Should be pretty easy to create in vops… I don't have houdini handy to try anything out however.
