Hey guys,

Pretty new to Houdini but I was wondering if you could help me solve possibly a very simple issue.

Main objective

I am trying to reduce the length of the tree branch as get to the end of the branch.

1. I have created a very simple S curve.
2. I've resampled the points and subdivided the curves. I've turned on the curveu attribute.
3. Next U have laid down a labs curve branches node and given it the style and randomisation I need.
4. I have created a point attibute vop node. Bind set and named to curveu, ramp parameter and fit range with an export bind node set and named to pscale.
5. ive oriented the normals along the curve and added a sweep node to create pine needles for the branches.

this is where I get stuck. I would like to control the "length" of the "labs curve branches" node based off the curveu 0-1 range.

Right now curveu is shrinking the scale of the tip and not the length. I feel like its one small fix but i cant figure out how to get there. Let me know if you have any ideas

Thanks

Hi,
mapping the curveu to pscale (in my case with a ramp parameter) works just fine. Or did you mean something else?

Thanks Xue_Yue! Appreciate the help. Thats what I ended up doign in the end under the hood of the branch node. worked a treat!
