Hello Fellows,
I'm trying to learn houdini 10.0.295…a couple weeks…and im stucked on this problem….
Mantra rendering doesn't work anymore….i get a black screen half of size…alll black and a i get a error on terminal like “no such image” or something like that….and there 2 black screens, one, and seconds later another one.
I dont know what happened because its works earlier and now dont work. I tryed reinstall, l got new license…and nothing helps.
I'm running under Linux 32bits…Arch linux, kernel 2.6.30….Intel core2duo 7400 2GB ddr2….
On my work i have the same installation of system in another pc….a 3 core phenom and houdini 10.0.295 works great.
Edit: My home pc has a geforce 6600 with latest nvidia drivers….my work pc has a 9500gt with the same drivers.
If anyone could help me…ill thanks
Sorry for the poor english….i have to practice more.
Thank you all.

I think i understood the problem. its a communication issue, i think….between mantra and mplay.
I had a adsl connection with a adsl modem router….couple weeks…and i bought a cable modem connection.
the router gives a ip to network card from internal network and makes a connection itself…..the cable modem deliver a public ip directly to card….
With the router connection i can render….with the IP public directly i Cant.
I dont know what i have to do…to make mplay render with a public Ip on the network card…maybe a hostname problem ? the interface “lo”(localhost) is up and have 127.0.0.1…..
Anyone else had this problem?
Is the problem clear?
Anybody can help me?
sorry for bad english, i'm trying
Thanks. cya.
