I'm trying to do a little setup here.
I'n my scene, I have particles emitted from a point. Particles go up, and I added an ADD sop to connect the particle together as a continuous line. It works well until the particles die and there particle number restarts, than I have a line connecting my last and my first particle…how can I get rid of it and have a nice continuous line between my particles?
I joined my scene to this post…
Thanks!

If you toggle Add Particle ID on the Particle SOP, then place a Sort after it and set it to sort by Expression and use $ID for the expression it will make sure that the particles are always numbered with 0 as the oldest so it will remain continuous.

I got a new problem now…
I did what you suggested Graham and it works fine until around frame 150 and than point number flips back…?
My expression in the sort sop is: 1-$ID
To make the last point 0 like you suggested…maybe it's wrong…
When I just put $ID it works fine thought, but my oldest poitn is not 0 anymore…
I'm confused…

I'm not exactly sure what is going on that is causing it to flip, but I know it's caused by using 1-$ID. If I set it as just $ID and either add another Sort sop after that one and set it to reverse, or I apply a Reverse sop after the add sop then I get a result that doesn't magically flip halfway through.
