is it posible to align not with a node with the transform handles the pivot to a object polygon or something like that?

i am modeling a pipe tube, now that i am modeling i want to rotate it, from the last part or polygons of the previews pipe, but my center (Pivot) is just in the middle of my tube, i can click on “' ' ” (with out the quotes) and move it around, but when i try to “start orientation picking” and i click on the edge of other item, every thing move to a very weird position.

in modo you select the “action center” you want
click transform and just click on the poly edge or polygon where you want the center to be and rotate or move form that position.

do we have something similar? or i am doing it wrong?

Hit the ‘ single quote key to detach the handle, move it, then hit ’ single quote again to attach the handle.

If you want to see all the options, use the RMB (RightMouseButton) on the handle to get the handle menu.

Tip: You can MMB (MiddleMouseButton) on any component of the handle and get the ladder handle for tweaking.

So you'd detatch the handle then rmb on the handle and move it to the origin and then reattach.

If you don't detatch as you move the handle the selection will move as well which can be handy.
