I am starting to love Houdini But, the more i love this app i want to do more complicated visual effects like these in movies. But i heard that for that i need to know programming language like Python, is this true?
I am really bad in programming, i never liked math, and its so complicated:
Is it essential to know Python for visual effects?
If one is fighting to become a FX Artist, does he/she really need to know at least one programming language? I checked out the FX Artist requisites from a few studios, they indicate that Python is a plus.
You probably don't need to know Python to get your job done, my guess is you'll get your job done more efficiently if you did know. I'm also not the programming/math type so i'm not exactly sure how Python or any other language helps somebody in actual production. I've done simple stuff like having a python script create, name, position and color rig controls.
Can somebody share more examples on how they will help us? hehe
