hi there,
I somehow still struggling with a strechy bone system.
Just one bone and one tube…
The bone change his lenght based on a null he is looking at and the Geometry should squezze and stretch…
The first problem I notice is that squzzing just occures in the middle of the geometry and the stretch causes a swimming of the top and bottom points.
Enclosed a test file!
Any suggestions are welcome!

The squash/stretch of bones uses the shape of the capture region which the points within the round caps are treated differently. To fix this, you can select your bone in the viewer and then use the “Edit Capture Regions” tool to edit the capture region shape. I've attached a fixed file where I moved the caps so that the points are now only enclosed within the middle tube section.

thanks a lot edward!
I would like to make the geo thinner when stretched and and vice versa.
I tried to accomplish this by reversing the expression of the bone length in the x and y of the region scale but that seem not to work…. do you have an idea on this?
Once I make it work, by I using a mesaur sop… now I would like to make it work using “vlength(vorigin())”… any ideas would be great!
